Meet the Legend
I am Michael Herne, I was born and raised in upstate New York. I started hunting at the age of 16, but the fever didn’t take hold until about nine years later. I joined the Army as a Paratrooper in 2006 at the age of 17. Moving around the US and Europe and back and forth to Afghanistan made hunting almost impossible. In 2013 I was stationed at Fort Benning GA as a Drill Sergeant. There my reconnection with the outdoors happened and I caught the fever. I have since become an avid bow hunter and outdoor addict. I enjoy hunting big game from whitetail deer to wild hogs to turkey. I am a student of mother nature and thoroughly enjoy all she has to offer. I prostaff for a non-profit organization called the Fallen Outdoors. The organization works to solve the problem I had early in my military career and keep our service members in the outdoors pursuing their passions. My ultimate goal in life is to be able to make a living in the outdoor industry whether it be sales, guiding, or a professional hunter does not matter as long as I’m doing what I love.
